Saint Viator names new varsity girls' lacrosse head coach

Saint Viator High School Athletic Director Jason Kuffel announced the school will be promoting Adelaide Dieckmeyer to the position of head coach of the girls' varsity lacrosse team. Dieckmeyer has been part of the Saint Viator girls' lacrosse program for six years, serving as the head coach of the freshmen and JV teams, and assistant coach for the varsity team for the last three years.

"Since joining us six years ago, Adelaide has contributed greatly to the girls' lacrosse program at Saint Viator," said Kuffel. "We're thrilled she'll be taking on a more prominent position in the program and we're excited to see what she can accomplish with the varsity team in the coming season."

Throughout Dieckmeyer's career, she has coached lacrosse at the collegiate, high school, and youth levels. She spent four years working for True Lacrosse, coaching more than 300 girls of all levels and teaching them strategy, fundamentals, and how to become leaders. Today, Dieckmeyer works as the director of operations of G3X Sports, an organization committed to developing youth athletes.

"As a coach, I am dedicated to the success of each player on and off the field," said Dieckmeyer. "I share the morals and values that are taught at Saint Viator High School, and I believe that a strong coach can teach a group of athletes to be successful in the sport of lacrosse and in life."

After wrapping up a successful season as varsity assistant coach this spring, Dieckmeyer will start her role as head coach during the 2021-2022 school year.
