Memorial Day ceremonies return to Cary and Fox River Grove

Veteran's remembrance ceremonies will return to Fox River Grove and Cary this month starting with the traditional Memorial March in Fox River Grove, stepping off at 8:30 a.m. and marching down South River Road to Lions Park at the river by the baseball fields.

After a short ceremony at the Fox River Grove park, several parade marchers will re-group in the parking lot of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Cary and at 10:30 a.m. will march down First Street to Veteran's Park where yet another ceremony will take place.

Having had to cancel last year's Memorial March, members of AMVETS Post 245 are hoping for a large attendance this year. Everyone attending is asked to wear a mask and to observe social distancing. These ceremonies will both be on Monday, May 31.
