Saint Viator High School Introduces New President

Fr. Dan Hall, CSV, Provincial of the Viatorian Community announced that Fr. Dan Lydon, CSV, will assume the role of President of Saint Viator High School effective July 1. Fr. Lydon replaces Brian Liedlich who is stepping down after serving as the first lay president of the Arlington Heights Catholic High School for the past 5 years.

Fr. Lydon is a graduate of Saint Viator ('73) and has most recently served as Parochial Vicar at Maternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Bourbonnais. He currently serves as a board of trustee member at the Chicago Theological Union where he previously earned a doctorate in ministry. Fr. Lydon began his academic career as a Spanish teacher at Saint Viator before moving into administration serving as vice principal.

"Fr. Lydon's experience in education, administration and his relationship as an alumnus of Saint Viator will prepare him to take on this important responsibility," said Fr. Hall. "We are very pleased to welcome him home."

Fr. Lydon expressed his thanks to his parish community in Bourbonnais and acknowledged the trust being placed in him by the Viatorian board of governors.

"I am humbled to be presented with this opportunity to lead a community that has meant so much to me throughout my life. I look forward to leading this outstanding institution as we prepare for the continued challenges in providing a community of faith formation and academic excellence."

Fr. Hall also thanked Liedlich for his commitment to Saint Viator.

"On behalf of everyone involved, we thank Brian for his dedication and tireless service. As he moves on to new endeavors, we all want him to know that he and Maria are still a part of our community and are Lions for Life."
