Holiday promotions support Bloomingdale businesses while giving back to the community

Looking for family friendly, socially distanced activities this season? Bloomingdale has a couple of activities that pay you back for participating.

Bloomingdale Court Shopping Center on Army Trail Road, has holiday decorated trees by local businesses. View 17 different trees and pick your favorite by taking a selfie in front of the tree, tag or name the business and post to #BCCHolidayTrees.

Beginning the week of Nov. 30, once a week, 2-3 winners will randomly be drawn to win a $25 gift card donated by participating businesses. The promotion helps local businesses market and reach new audiences while sharing their holiday spirit. Enter weekly and enter early to increase your odds of winning!

The Parade of Gingerbread Houses begins Friday, Nov. 27. Download a map of participating businesses at www.BloomingdaleHolidays.com. Visit each gingerbread house and receive a stamp on your map. When your map is complete, return it to the Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce for a chance to win $200. COVID-19 accommodations are in place for those businesses closed or if you cannot get a stamp in person. Take a selfie in front of the business so show you were there. Vote for your favorite house by donating money into the ballot box. The money collected will be donated to St. Isidore's PADS program to support the homeless. Your vote counts! Vote often and generously. Thanks to the generous support from Pan American Bank and Trust, and S.B.C. Waste Solutions for making this opportunity possible.

The Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce is promoting "stay local this season" with your purchases and dining. The two promotions help businesses market and attract new customers. It's our hope that those visiting the gingerbread houses will have a new realization of the local businesses in their neighborhood and will return to shop often.

Visit www.BloomingdaleHolidays.com to view the complete rules for these two holiday promotions. Participation in both activities is free to anyone who wants to play.

The Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce supports the success and growth of businesses and the community. Membership is open to any business who wants to invest in their own growth through promoting their business through marketing, sponsorships and building relationships. The chamber offers a variety of free and fee based events making it possible for members to get involved and be known in their community.
