Naperville Twilight Cross Country Invitational to be livestreamed Oct. 9

Naperville Community Television Station along with Naperville Sports Weekly recently announced that the Naperville Twilight Invitational will be live streamed and available for the community to watch on Channel 17, NCTV17.com, and on Facebook Live on Friday, Oct. 9 starting at 6 p.m.

Due to COVID-19 and the number of runners, no spectators are allowed for this event.

NCTV17 and Naperville Sports Weekly will bring both the boy's and girl's races to the fans live on Friday, Oct., 9 with the six varsity races starting at 6 p.m. with an anticipated ending at 8 p.m.

Schools that will be competing at this meet are Metea Valley, Waubonsie Valley, Neuqua Valley, Naperville North, Naperville Central, Benet Academy (girls), Batavia, DeKalb, Geneva, Glenbard North (girls), Lake Park, St. Charles East, St. Charles North, Wheaton North, and Wheaton-Warrenville South.

It is gearing up to be a tough meet as the Naperville North girls have won four straight 3A state championships and the Benet Academy girls won the 2A state championship last year.

On the boy's side - St. Charles East and Wheaton Warrenville South finished first and second at state last year.

Four out of the top 15 girl's teams at state last year will be running as well as four of the top 15 boy's teams.

So tune in on Friday, Oct. 9 starting at 6 p.m. to watch the Naperville Twilight Invitational at NCTV17.com, on Channel 17 in Naperville, or on Facebook.
