Be truly amazed at 'Magic Parlour Show' at Gorton Center

"The Magic Parlour Show," starring Dennis Watkins, delivers an evening of sophisticated tomfoolery, close-up and personal.

Watkins is a third-generation magician, and his mind-reading and magic have been described as "mind blowing." This family-friendly show will take place in the Gorton Community Center's Parking Lot from 4-5:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20.

"The Magic Parlour" is downtown Chicago's longest-running magic show.

During this show, "lawn seats" will be sectioned off toward the front of the parking lot facing the stage, so bring lawn chairs and blankets. Seating for this event is limited in order to comply with Illinois guidelines. Concessions will be sold in prepackaged, unopened containers.

Gorton Community Center is a nonprofit 501c3 organization that operates to enrich the lives of its residents through cultural arts, education and charitable service.

Gorton relies on the generosity of residents and businesses to help fund programs and services offered in the historic building. Gorton is partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council Agency.
