Get your toes tapping at Twilight Jazz Summer Concert Series

The Anderson Arts Center has planned the free 2020 Twilight Jazz Summer Concert Series for Aug. 4 through Sept. 8. The series will feature regional jazz bands and legends on the shores of Lake Michigan Tuesday nights.

"We are moving forward with our concert series so that everyone can get their summer dose of live music this year," Kemper Center Executive Director Ed Kubicki said.

"We will be taking precautions and following state and local COVID-19 protocols to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience."

In past years, large audiences have been packed together on the lawn, but this year the grounds may look a bit emptier. Lines will be drawn on the grass to maintain social distancing between families. Lines for food and beverage purchases will be socially distanced, and staff and volunteers will be wearing masks and encouraging cashless transactions for food and beverages.

The following artists will perform at this year's series:

• Suzanne Grzanna: Aug. 4

• Janet Planet: Aug. 11

• Infusion: Aug. 25

• The Kal Bergendahl Project: Sept. 1

• Jazz Spectrum: Sept. 8

The grounds open at 6 p.m. and seating will be first come, first served on the south side of the Anderson Arts Center, 6603 Third Ave., Kenosha, Wisconsin. When all spaces on the lawn are filled, families are welcome to listen from their cars.

The events are free and food and drinks will be available for purchase. No carry-ins of alcohol are allowed.

The Twilight Jazz Summer Concert Series is sponsored by Design Partners Inc., First American Bank, Lake County Press, Palmen Motors, Snap-on Inc., Spectrum Wealth Advisors and Tithof Tile & Marble. Sponsorships are still available.
