Creative Rehab Celebrates 22 years as a Privately Owned Physical Therapy Clinic Amongst the Corporate Giants and Hospital Systems
Gurnee, IL: Creative Rehab announced its 22nd year in business on March 1, 2020. This milestone is a major achievement for Creative Rehab on its mission to continue providing elite physical therapy in the way patients deserve despite ever growing pressure from corporate PT companies. Anita Davidson PT, DPT, CEO and founder of Creative Rehab, started the business 22 years ago because she saw a gap in physical therapy care and was driven to provide "the type of quality, innovative and personal evaluation and treatment that [she] felt patients deserved". Her mission has held true over the years and is more vital in the current healthcare market now more than ever.
"I was mocked by more than one medical professional that I was crazy to start a private practice let alone the fact that I started it out of my house! At the time, there were at least six physical therapy practices in a 2 mile area," says Davidson. "I have seen many private practices close as healthcare changed and it became more challenging to compete with the hospital systems. Currently Creative Rehab is the only private practice in the same radius with the other clinics being physician owned or corporate clinics." Anita Davidson continues to be the sole owner of Creative Rehab while still providing the highest level of patient care. Highlighting the family run business, company operations transitioned 2 years ago to her daughter who is also a physical therapist.
Creative Rehab is using this anniversary to launch its initiatives for further elite care:
• Develop accessible patient education via a YouTube channel and webinars
• Implement research projects to support clinical care
• Expand sports programs through a new sports video assessment program for Triathletes/runners
Davidson comments about the future, "our plan is to stop being the 'Best Kept Secret' in Northern IL and to continue to be the place that friends and family tell you to go to when things are tough because we will have your back...leg, knee, or shoulder!"
