The Bridge Rocks Fundraiser Set for March 5 at Durty Nellie's

An upcoming concert headlined by Leopardo Companies' charity rock band will benefit Palatine-based, The Bridge Youth and Family Services (The Bridge). The fundraiser entitled, 'The Bridge Rocks' will take place on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Durty Nellie's, 180 N. Smith Street in downtown Palatine, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Guests will have the chance to be entered into a grand raffle to win $100 on the night of the event.

Four-piece surf band Secret 3 will open for headliner, Liquidated Damages, Leopardo's charity band. The group specializes in covering artists from Adele to Aerosmith, with eclectic, fast-paced music played in various genres. Its musicians either work for the construction giant or are individuals who are employed by Leopardo's business partners.

"Our band was organized in 1998 to primarily play at fundraisers to make a difference in local communities, said Rick DuPraw, executive vice president at Leopardo. "We are excited to partner with The Bridge for this upcoming event at Durty Nellie's and invite area residents to come out and enjoy some music and support this local nonprofit."

The Bridge is a 501(c)(3) and was founded in 1965; its mission is to help kids and their families overcome challenges and trauma to lead happier, more successful lives. This end is achieved through a wide array of social and psychological services for clients ranging from small children to high school seniors, as well as their families.

"We are thrilled to introduce everyone to the high-energy music and kind hearts of Liquidated Damages," said Janet Gow, The Bridge development director. "This event will help The Bridge continue to assist youth and their families through counseling and crisis intervention services for residents of Palatine and five surrounding townships."

The cost for admission is $30 per person and guests must be 21 years of age or older. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., Secret 3 performs at 7:00 p.m. and Liquidated Damages comes on the stage at 7:45 p.m. To purchase tickets, make a donation or to become a sponsor, visit thebridgerocks.givesmart.com.
