St. Charles Women's Club food and gift program helps 12 local families

This year, the St. Charles Women's Club annual Holiday Food & Gift Program served 12 families with students in St. Charles Unit District 303.

The club also purchased gift cards for the family Thanksgiving dinners. The club collaborated with local Boy Scout and Girl Scout Troops for the stockings for those families as well.

If you would like more information about the club, visit the website at www.stcharleswomensclub.com or www.facebook.com/Stcwomensclub/.

The next club meeting will begin at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20, at the St. Charles Public Library, 1 S. Sixth Ave. The meetings are open to the public.

The club members work together to improve the lives of women, children and families in our community through philanthropic activities and community outreach events.

The club also provides members with a friendly community dedicated to supporting its members.

The club is looking for women in the Fox Valley area who want to enhance the community, make friends, and have a fun time through: community impact, volunteering, social events, ladies night out, book club, and more.

Next month, club members also will be packing sack lunches at the Lazarus House Jan. 14, and volunteering at the Northern Illinois Food Bank on Jan. 21.
