Toms Price Stores unveil flagship T. Price Interiors and Thayer Coggin Modern Furniture Gallery Nov. 9

On Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 9-10, all Toms Price stores will debut the flagship brand T. Price Interiors.

T. Price Interiors will offer inspirational design and features a contiguous grouping of vignettes appealing to shoppers seeking a completely custom look who also want to leverage the benefits of working with an interior designer. Toms Price will be toasting this new venture with a champagne reception at all four stores and providing free gift bags (while supplies last) during the debut weekend Nov. 9. Toms Price interior designers are able to take advantage of all that the manufacturers have to offer to provide design in the most cohesive, cost-efficient way.

Off the heels of its early success at the Skokie and Lincolnshire stores, Toms Price will also reveal a Thayer Coggin Gallery in Wheaton on Nov. 9.

Handcrafted in High Point, North Carolina since 1953, Thayer Coggin is a premium brand in timeless, modern design. Each piece is meticulously bench-made by a single craftsperson.

"At Toms Price we are thrilled to offer Thayer Coggin. Customers are seeking more classic modern design; or Transitional Design coupled with the ability to customize," said Lori Stengren, Toms Price Vice President of Marketing and Merchandising. "Toms Price aligns itself with high caliber, venerable brands namely Stickley, Shifman Mattress, and the addition of Thayer Coggin fills this niche nicely."

"Thayer Coggin is a family company very much like Toms Price, where the original founding family is still actively involved with business operations," said Scott Price, president of Bloomingdale, Ill.-based Toms Price and fourth generation owner.

Royale Coggin Wiggin, daughter of co-founder Thayer Coggin operates the company today. Her leadership continues the collaboration of design, engineering and manufacturing techniques that her father and lead designer Milo Baughman established to help define the Mid Century Modern design category.

Phil Miller, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Thayer Coggin describes the premium brand "as an investment, built to last with care by craftsman and led by ownership with a passion for the industry. Today, consumers don't want just a financial transaction. They want information about the company behind the product, how and where it is built, its reputation and integrity."

Earlier this month, Toms Price in Wheaton concluded a successful sale of its entire inventory. A complete renovation is underway to provide an updated, easier footprint to shop and an enhanced shopping experience with fresh, new inventory. The store remains open for business during this transition.

A new Rug Studio is another one of the changes occurring within the Wheaton, Lincolnshire and Skokie locations. Later this year, the relocated Design Center; complete with an extensive fabric selection, finishes, trims and cushion samplings, will join the Rug Studio at the heart of the store. The Stickley Furniture Gallery at the Wheaton store features the new Walnut Grove collection, is refreshed and has relocated to a newly configured showroom on the second floor.

Since 1908, Toms Price has provided quality furniture throughout Chicagoland and remains the oldest furniture store in the Chicago area.
