Schaumburg Seminoles win Boomers Stadium 16U Tournament

Schaumburg Seminoles 16U, Class of 2022, Fall Ball Team won the Oct. 5-6 Boomers Stadium 16U Tournament. Seminoles were the only undefeated team and also had three of their wins at Boomers Stadium.

The Seminoles roster includes: Joe Bollard, St. Viator High School; Alex Jelaca, John Hersey High School; Kyle Odeshoo, Prospect High School; Alex Beihoffer, Buffalo Grove High School; Alex Cherian, Niles West High School; Dominic McKevitt, St. Viator High School; Josh Notini, Prospect High School; Nick Napoleon, St. Viator High School; Dennis Ratzki, St. Viator High School; Baylor Rowell, St. Viator High School; Andrew Shevlin, St. Viator High School; Jake Koch, Lake Park High School; Ian Farrell, St. Viator High School; Connor Nicolas, St. Viator High School; Shivam Patel, Glenbard North High School; David Jenkins, Prospect High School; Assistant Coach Gio Calabrese and Head Coach Russ Gangler.

Seminoles had big pitching performances at the tournament. Winning pitchers Shivam Patel, Nick Napoleon, David Jenkins and Alex Cherian pitched well. Napoleon set the tone Oct. 5, throwing six strong innings to defeat a solid team from Iowa.

At the plat, Dominic McKevitt went 3-for-4 with three RBI's in the final game. Alex Cherian, Baylor Rowell and David Jenkins had two-hit games in back-to-back games.

The 2020 season will be the Seminoles' 20th year anniversary. The program has won four National Championships and 14 state titles, while helping more than 200 players go on to play college baseball.
