Pets-a-Palooza returns with stunt shows, contests Sept. 21

Anderson Animal Shelter's fifth annual Pets-a-Palooza will be 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, in Kane County Cougar Stadium at Northwestern Medicine Field, 34W002 Cherry Lane in Geneva. Admission is free.

The annual day of fun includes activities spread throughout the stadium and entire event grounds.

There will be three stunt dog shows performed by the Canine Stars! Performances will be at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 and 3:30 p.m.

Stop by the Anderson Adoption Tent and take home your next furry family member.

There will be live music by Crossfire at 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. on the main stage.

The pet contests for best costume and best pet trick will begin at 4:30 p.m. on the main stage. Register by 4 p.m. Contestants can enter on-site at the event to win some prizes.

A "Doggy Diner" will be offering festival food for your pup. There will be food trucks and a beer deck.

Other highlights include a Kids Zone with inflatables, Pups Play Area with Lure Course, painting classes, and Knockerball Arena.
