Des Plaines Park District presents Community Honor Roll Awards

The Des Plaines Park District presented Community Honor Roll Awards to three retiring Des Plaines Aldermen at the Park Board meeting on Tuesday, April 16. Mike Charewicz, John 'Jack' Robinson, and Dick Sayad were recognized with an award that reads: "For your outstanding dedication and commitment to furthering recreational benefits for the Des Plaines community". Executive Director, Don Miletic, spoke about how each of the honorees had impacted not only their ward, but the entire community with their long-term vision and ongoing support of the district, and all of the Board members expressed their gratitude the the Aldermen for their friendship and their commitment to making Des Plaines a better place to live, work, and play. The recipients of the Community Honor Roll Award also have their names placed on permanent plaques installed at the Administrative & Leisure Center, and the Prairie Lakes Community Center.
