Make history with the Fox Valley Music Foundation and #ILGive
Have you dreamed of making history? You now have a chance to be a part of state of Illinois's day of giving - an opportunity to unite the community around causes in which you truly believe and help nonprofit organizations connect to the larger community.
The Fox Valley Music Foundation is proud to be a part of the #ILGive!
They need your help! Please join the campaign and help them reach the goal of $18,490! They need you to tell your friends and family members about the important work they do - to preserve, promote and present the music of the Fox Valley. Ask them to join in helping to make a difference.
Get ready to give! Starting at midnight Tuesday, Nov. 27, visit www.ilgive.com/organizations/fox-valley-music-foundation and make a donation. There are many nonprofit organizations in the state are participating. You will have 24 hours to make your donation, and all giving will end at 11:59 p.m. Nov. 27.
The funds will help create the music home called The Venue in downtown Aurora.
Through The Venue, the foundation plans to present local, regional, national and international musical performances, local singer/songwriter workshops, as well as poetry, film and other creative groups in support of its mission. The space will serve as a central location for musicians and music lovers to congregate, interact, share, develop and perform music, as well as sharing the rich music history of the region with the larger community. Other funding is being obtained through membership, sponsorship, grants, donations and concert revenue.
The Fox Valley Music Foundation's Giving Tuesday campaign will culminate in a mini concert at 7 p.m. Nov. 27 at Kiss The Sky, 180 First St., Batavia.
The intimate, live concert will feature musical act Chicago Farmer, light appetizers and a cash bar. Staff will be on hand to assist with the online donation process.
After Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday helps remind us to support our community organizations.
