Northwest Bible Baptist Church to perform Christmas cantata Dec. 9

On Sunday, Dec. 9, the adult choir of Northwest Bible Baptist Church will present the Christmas cantata "Maranatha! The Lord Is Come" at 4:15 p.m.

Accompanied by 11 beautiful choral selections, this dramatic music presentation relates the touching but terrifying story of a nationally-known TV investigative reporter who is facing a fateful and spiritually fatal decision.

This is all after a series of deathbed interviews with a longtime, cancer-stricken friend who has a genuine concern for the eternal destiny of his soul. The reporter comes so close to trusting Jesus as his personal Savior, but not close enough, and he is "left behind" - "Maranatha! (The Lord is Come!)"

This special celebration of music and drama will be held in the auditorium of the church, 9N889 Nesler Road on the rural, far-west side of Elgin.

The performance is free, and everyone is welcome to attend.
