East Dundee's festival to feature Bella Cain, Modern Day Romeos

East Dundee's historic downtown will play host to its first Oktoberfest, presented by Flood Brothers, featuring well-known musicians from around the Midwest, a carnival, and food and drink from local vendors.

The event, planned after East Dundee decided to discontinue participation in Heritage Fest, promises to attract thousands from around the northwest suburbs.

"This is the first year we've decided to do something like this," Village President Lael Miller said. "There's truly no other event quite like this within the area."

East Dundee's first Oktoberfest will boast two of the area's most popular headliners in Bella Cain and Modern Day Romeos.

"We were thoroughly impressed with the intense following these two headliners have," Village Administrator Jennifer Johnsen said. "Once we heard them perform, we knew they were perfect for our first Oktoberfest."

The festival will be 6 to 11 p.m. Friday, 4 to 11 p.m. Saturday, and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday along North River Street.

The festival also will include performances from 97Nine, 8-Track, and the Polkaholics.

Bella Cain, a top 40 country band from Wisconsin, has played across the Midwest at events such as Country Thunder, Country USA, Summerfest, and the Wisconsin State Fair. They have shared the stage with national artists such as Brad Paisley, Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, and Dierks Bentley.

Bella Cain will take the Oktoberfest stage at 8:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12. It will doubtlessly leave attendees breathless with their amazing musicianship and unmatched high energy onstage. 97Nine will perform classic rock music from 6 to 8 p.m.

Modern Day Romeos, the Saturday night headliner, has been entertaining Chicago area crowds for over 15 years. The band plays a wide selection of music ranging from Motown classics to the top hits of the 2000s. Modern Day Romeos aren't just known for the musical prowess - they are also known for their wildly entertaining and engaging performance. Modern Day Romeos doesn't just want people to come see a great show; they want the entire crowd to be part of it. Modern Day Romeos will rock the big stage at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13. The Polkaholics will perform a new generation of polka music from 4 to 5:30 p.m., followed by hard rock band 8-Track from 6 to 8 p.m.
