Four Legged Friends Are Invited to Doggie Carnival

The community is invited to bring their four-legged friends to Fabbrini Park (1704 Glenlake Rd.) for the Hoffman Estates Park District's (HE Parks) second annual Doggie Carnival on Saturday, Sept. 15 from 10 a.m. to noon. Dogs can play doggie games such as musical chairs, pick a ball, and paw printing. In addition, there will be prize drawings, pet vendors to visit with and more. This event is free and does not require registration; however dogs must be current on their rabies vaccines and show proof with paperwork or a tag.

In addition, there will be an agility demonstration by A Closer Bond dog training center and dogs will be able to play on the agility equipment.

Dog owners who bring a donation of pet supplies or a dog food to support the Barrington Area Animal Rescue & Kennels NFP (B.A.A.R.K.) will receive an extra raffle ticket. B.A.A.R.K. is an all-volunteer, foster-based dog rescue serving the Chicago area. The organization's primary location is Barrington Hills, with a secondary satellite in Naperville.

B.A.A.R.K. is in need of the following donation items: new collars, leashes and all sizes of harnesses, plus Nylabone chews, Kong chew toys, and gift cards to Krisers, Pet Supplies Plus, PetsMart, and PetCo. In addition, B.A.A.R.K. is always seeking foster families.
