Bishop Sally Dyck to Speak at Prince of Peace UMC
Bishop Sally Dyck, author of A Hopeful Earth: Faith, Science and the Message of Jesus, will be speaking on Earth Day, Sunday April 22, at Prince of Peace UMC in Elk Grove Village. Bishop Dyck currently serves as Bishop to the Northern Illinois Conference of the United Methodist Church.
Bishop Dyck has served as director of the UMC Board on Global Ministries, a delegate to the Central Committee of the World Council of Churches and serves as the President of the General Board on Church and Society.
In addition to environmental issues, Bishop Dyke is involved in initiatives to establish an Urban Strategy to address Community Safety, Food Deserts, Education and Literacy and Restorative Justice. She encourages everyone to "put legs to your prayers" as we work together as United Methodists to identify how we can work within our communities in Northern Illinois to be truly good neighbors.
Bishop Dyke will be speaking during the 9:30 a.m. Worship service at Prince of Peace on April 22, 2018. All are welcome.
