CASA Kane County's 'Holiday Extravaganza' celebrates community

CASA Kane County's second annual Holiday Extravaganza will be held on Thursday, Nov. 30, at Riverside Receptions, on the eve of Geneva's famous Christmas Walk.

The reception hall is transformed into an elegant winter wonderland that is as close as you will get to the actual Santa's North Pole village. Sparkling trees, silver bells along with colorful and beautifully-lit atmosphere assimilate the spirit of Christmas. This family event from 3 to 5:30 p.m. will feature Santa and Mrs. Claus, magic shows, a friend from the movie "Frozen," face painting, candy stations, and kid-friendly snacks and hot chocolate for all.

The second half of the evening from 7 to 11 p.m. will feature a couture fashion show styled by Niala Conte, an upscale Geneva boutique modeling, fall/winter, evening gown and cocktail attire; along with hair and makeup presentations styled by Sojourn Salon and Spa; with sophisticated jewelry by Fox Jewelers.

Guests also will have the opportunity to dance the night away with a DJ and dance floor, hors d'oeuvres, beer and wine, and amazing silent and live auction items - themed with the spirit of the holiday season. All guests of both events will receive a holiday gift book to shop and dine at local businesses.

This exclusive event was graciously sponsored in part by the following individuals: French Med Spa; Mike and Rosalind Lusk; AlphaGraphics of St. Charles; SIVI Group; Elemech and Proven Partners Group. CASA Kane County would like to thank all the members of the Holiday Extravaganza Committee; Shuki Moran of Exceptional Events in Geneva for his help with the event; and the exquisite holiday décor by DeMarco Designs Interior Holiday Decorating.

New this year is a VIP live auction item at the Trump Tower Penthouse for up to 14 people! This one-of-a-kind experience includes a six-course meal prepared by Preservation Bread and Wine, along with wine pairing at each course presented by The Wine Exchange and a personal wait staff for the evening.

For information on this exclusive VIP opportunity, call Gloria Kelley, executive director of CASA Kane County, at (630) 444-3109.

Gloria Kelley states, "Each year, CASA focuses on new ways to promote healthy kids and families in order to make our community stronger. We are proud to bring back this family-focused holiday event along with an elegant adult-only party in the evening that will support our child advocacy organization and the 600 children we serve annually. Please bring your families, friends, and loved ones for an evening of celebration this holiday season, which supports our mission of bringing awareness to abuse and neglect in this community."
