JCC to hold Passover activities for families, young adults in Northbrook

JCC Chicago has a pair of Passover activities scheduled in Northbrook for families and young adults.

A pre-Passover Party for people in their 20s and 30s is scheduled March 30 in the Marvin Lustbader Center at the Bernard Weinger JCC, 300 Revere Drive. From 6-7:30 p.m. they can join JCC Chicago and the Jewish United Fund's Young Leadership Division for pizza, beer and wine, live music from Sunflower Headlights, arcade games and Ping-Pong. There is a $5 fee and registration is required.

From 2-3:30 p.m. April 2, families can participate in the Afikomen Scavenger Hunt around the grounds of the "Z" Frank Apachi JCC, 3050 Woodridge Lane. A Passover tradition in many Jewish households, parents hide "afikomen" - pieces of broken matzah flatbread - for their children to find.

Children can find the afikomen, play "Minute to Win it" games and take home a Passover goody bag. It's a free event, though registration is requested. To register, visit jccchicago.org/passover.
