Preckwinkle's mental health film screening and discussion rescheduled to Thursday

A postponed documentary screening and discussion on mental health has been rescheduled for Thursday night in Schaumburg.

Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle and Commissioner Kevin Morrison will be joined by film director Margaret Byrne and mental health professionals for a screening of "Any Given Day" and a roundtable discussion at 6 p.m. at the Al Larson Prairie Center for the Arts.

The event originally was scheduled for Jan. 24, but officials postponed it due to the rise in the COVID-19 omicron variant cases.

New panelists have been added since, including Cook County Mental Health Court Judge Lauren Gottainer Edidin; Bridgette Poston, a psychiatric social worker at Cook County Health; and Lisa Hendrickson, director of community living of Elk Grove Village-based Kenneth Young Center.

RSVP is not required, but encouraged at eventbrite.com/e/any-given-day-documentary-screening-and-discussion-tickets-269184858157.
