JCC Chicago expands early childhood program on North Shore

The Evanston Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting last week to mark the successful expansion of Northbrook-based JCC Chicago's Early Childhood program at Beth Emet Synagogue.

As an essential-care provider, the full-day child care and preschool for children six weeks to 5-years-old opened its doors for the first time in newly renovated, age-appropriate classrooms under the most challenging circumstances - during the pandemic.

"We're thrilled to revive JCC Chicago's beloved Early Childhood program in the Evanston-Skokie area and bring our preeminent Jewish preschool experience back to this community," said Addie Goodman, president and CEO of JCC Chicago. "Our new and meaningful partnership with Beth Emet means more opportunities for learning, growth and connection for children, families and community members. We've been welcomed by the congregation with open arms and are working together to serve the community through Early Childhood and young family experiences."

This new location in Evanston brings JCC Chicago's Early Childhood to seven total centers in the Chicagoland area, including two sites in Northbrook. Upcoming plans include the launch of JCC Chicago's high-quality adult-tot classes, parenting programs, holiday celebrations and special events at this location.
