Oil Lamp Theater's 2022 outdoor season continues with "Shipwrecked! An Entertainment." Donald Margulies' adventure dramedy is inspired by a Swiss explorer named Louis de Rougemont, who regaled 19th century London audiences with wild stories of adventures he claimed to have had while traveling in the Asia-Pacific region. The production features Logan Brown as Louis along with Jasmine Robinson and Van Ferro. 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, Friday, Aug. 6; 3 and 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7 and 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 8 and through Aug. 29, on the lawn at St. David's Episcopal Church, 2410 Glenview Road, Glenview. $45. Bitter Jester Week 3

Oak Park funk band Summer Drive took top honors at Week 2 of 2021's Bitter Jester Music Festival in Highland Park last weekend. This Friday, North Shore band F.L.A.M.E., Feed the Monkeys, Fluctuation, Monsoon, One Man Ginger Band and Quick and Painless take the stage to vie for a spot at the Sept. 5 Grand Finale concert. Fightin' Bob and Kyra Cain will also play special guest performances at the free, outdoor concert. 6:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, at Port Clinton Square, 600 Central Ave., Highland Park. Ravinia's new theater and Bernstein

This Saturday, Ravinia Festival launches an exciting new theatrical offering to the tune of a little Bernstein. The Ravinia Music Box, a 65-seat theater space nestled near the park's dining pavilion, opens Saturday with the immersive "Bernstein's Answer," a presentation about the life and music of famed composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein. The theater, which also includes a museum gallery space, will be free to Ravinia concertgoers and will be open from the park's opening until the start of each day's concert, as well as field trips during the school year. Mustard mascot

Celebrate the birthday of Squirt, the Chicago Dogs mustard-inspired mascot, on Saturday during the game against the Sioux City Canaries. "Higher and Higher: A Rock 'n Soul Party with Chester Gregory" features the actor and recording artist channeling such greats as Sam Cooke, Otis Redding and James Brown. 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14; 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 15, at 10 Marriott Drive, Lincolnshire. $55.
