Glenbrook Dist. 225 board takes no action regarding administrator on leave

After a long executive session Monday night, the Glenbrook High School District 225 school board made no decisions regarding the administrator currently on leave.

"There was no action taken by the Board at the meeting last night," district spokeswoman Karen Geddeis said in an email Tuesday morning. "The administrator remains on leave, as a complete investigation continues."

So far, the district has neither confirmed the administrator's name nor the reason for the leave, citing the ongoing investigation.

"As an educational institution, we have a responsibility to uphold strong values of respect and dignity. We believe that every person deserves to be treated in this manner, and we work diligently to create an inclusive culture that supports these values," Geddeis wrote in an email to the Herald on Friday. "Glenbrook High School District 225 holds its staff to the highest standards of professional decorum. The administrator has been place on administrative leave, pending a complete investigation."

According to the Illinois Open Meetings Act, a public body may enter a closed - or executive - session for several specific reasons, such as employee hiring and dismissal, pay, complaints lodged against employees, disciplinary actions against employees, legal matters and more.
