Neighbors in the news: Glenview resident's new book offers tips to stay organized

• Glenview resident Jessica Litman, CEO and founder of The Organized Mama has launched her debut book, "Home Sweet Organized Home," which provides individuals and families with strategies, tips and worksheets to organize their homes and gain control of their lives.

Over the past 10 years, Litman has created a national name for herself helping others declutter their lives through her blog and social media. Her new book provides detailed strategies for organization, tips for decluttering each space and insights on how one's mindset is affected by organization.

"Organization has been my passion ever since I was little, and I'm thrilled that I get to continue sharing simple, yet effective, organization strategies with an even wider audience. In my new book, I dive deeper into the mental aspect of organization and provide concrete tips for organization around the home," said Litman.

"It's an honor to help people create a home they love while also cultivating a positive mindset and sense of control in their lives."

Mark McCullough, CEO of Gebrüder Weiss USA, Des Plaines, was named a "2022 Pros to Know" by Supply & Demand Chain Executive, a global supply chain publication focusing on trucking, warehousing, packaging, procurement, risk management, professional development and more.

The award recognizes outstanding executives whose accomplishments offer a road map for other leaders looking to leverage supply chain for a competitive advantage.

• Dr. Amy J. Derick, a board-certified dermatologist, was reelected as trustee-at-large of the Illinois State Medical Society during its recent annual meeting. Her term as a trustee-at-large will run through April 2024.

Founded in 1840, ISMS is a professional membership association representing Illinois physicians in all medical specialties, and their patients, statewide. Dr. Derick has been active with the society since 2012.

Dr. Derick is the founder, owner and chief executive officer of Derick Dermatology. She is also a clinical instructor of dermatology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and an academic associate member at the University of Chicago Section of Dermatology, Biological Sciences division, Pritzker School of Medicine.

Recently completing service as chairwoman of the Illinois Medical Disciplinary board, Dr. Derick serves in leadership for the Federation of State Medical Boards. She earned her medical degree from the University of Chicago and also completed her residency there.

Derick Dermatology has offices in Arlington Heights, Barrington, Bartlett, Buffalo Grove, Libertyville, Lindenhurst and Park Ridge, to name of few of its many suburban locations.
