Jack White's new music
Jack White, a seminal figure of the early century garage-rock revival, brings his bluesy spin on the genre to celebrate two solo musical releases: Friday's “Fear of the Dawn” and “Entering Heaven Alive,” due out in July. “The Supply Chain Issues Tour” stops in Chicago Tuesday, April 12, with Brooklyn rock band Geese. Folk songs with Dan Tedesco
Bouncing back from the pandemic slowdowns, St. Charles native Dan Tedesco (now an Iowan) is returning to play regular homecoming shows around his native scene. This weekend, the folk singer-songwriter brings gifts of new music to Aurora as he celebrates his recent three-song EP “Morning Bells” along with fellow Des Moines folk musician Emma Butterworth. Southern revival
The Revivalists, purveyors of soulful Southern rock 'n' roll, bring their platinum-selling hits to Chicago this weekend for a show at the Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom. The Louisiana-based eight-piece outfit will be joined by The Record Company, a Grammy-nominated rock band from L.A. $1 from each ticket sold will benefit Rev Causes, which supports educational, community and health organizations in and around Louisiana.

Schoolhouse rock
Get a taste of the opportunities afforded to up-and-coming rock stars when the educators at the Glenbrook School of Rock perform at Arlington Ale House Sunday to raise funds for the school. The School of Rock Staff Show also will feature students from the Northbrook school (3139 Dundee Road, Northbrook) taking the stage with their musical mentors.

Folk-rock star Lucinda Williams brings her full band to Oak Park for two nights of Americana-styled jams in the intimate confines of the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Unity Temple. Monday night's performance is sold out, but tickets are still available for Tuesday.

Jawbreaker anniversary
The influential New York punk band Jawbreaker marks 25 years of the band's major label debut, “Dear You,” with three nights at Chicago's House of Blues. Northwest suburban Smoking Popes, indie rockers Built To Spill and comedian Irene Tu join in on the raucous and spirited anniversary party.

Honoring The Monkees
Micky Dolenz of The Monkees takes the Rialto Square Theatre stage for a midweek performance honoring his late bandmates - Davy Jones, Mike Nesmith and Peter Tork - and the music they created together with songs, stories and personal footage of the legendary band.
