Lake County Bar Association Publishes Evaluations Of Candidates For First Judicial Sub-Circuit

The Lake County Bar Association has just completed its review and evaluation of the candidates for the newly created First Judicial Sub-Circuit race for Circuit Judge in Lake County, IL. The First Judicial Sub-Circuit encompasses Round Lake, Round Lake Heights, Round Lake Beach, Round Lake Park, Ingleside and sections of Grayslake, Haynesville and Wauconda. It is located within Avon Township.

Through the Judicial Selection and Retention Committee, the LCBA evaluates candidates by its 16 member Committee who are appointed for staggered three- year terms. The Committee is comprised of experienced attorneys with a wide range of backgrounds and practice areas throughout Lake County, IL. The Committee is

non-partisan and its sole objective is to ensure that the best candidates are elected and retained for judicial positions. The Committee submitted a questionnaire to all candidates, with a request for an interview and a meeting. Following its recent meetings, the Committee has made the following findings:

For the First Judicial Sub-Circuit in Lake County, IL:

• Attorney Rod Drobinski: Highly Qualified.

• Attorney Chris Ditton: Not Qualified.
