DuPage County CareVan comes to Villa Park for vaccine clinic for kids

On Sunday, July 10, Cornerstone Chinese Church in Villa Park is hosting a free COVID vaccine clinic for young children and up with the DuPage County Care Van.

The Care Van is a walk-up, free, clinic open to all people 6 months or older, including those who do not have health insurance or legal immigration status.

It will be noon to 2 p.m. at the church, 5 N. Princeton Ave.

The DuPage County Health Department is offering Pfizer first and second doses (age 6 months and up); Pfizer first boosters (ages 5 and up); and Pfizer second boosters (ages 50 and up).

If you are getting a Pfizer first booster, it must be at least 5 months after you completed the vaccine series.

If you are getting Pfizer second booster it must be at least 4 months after your first booster.

Bring the vaccination card with the dates of previous vaccines received.

While you can walk-in, they highly recommend that you register with the DuPage County Health Department.

This registration will provide the health department with your personal information, medical history, allergies, and current medications.

Completing this ahead of time will help speed up the process when you arrive for the vaccine.

Register via the COVID information page on www.dupagehealth.org.

You will need to sit in observation for at least 15 minutes and possibly up to 30 minutes based on clinical history.
