Gift card drive helps support local families

The village of Arlington Heights is hosting a gift card drive to help provide support to neighbors in need this holiday season.

Community members wishing to donate may bring cards to the Arlington Heights Health and Human Services Department at the village hall, 33 S. Arlington Heights Road, during regular business hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.

It is recommended that donated gift cards are in the value of at least $20. Gift cards should be from stores that provide groceries, toiletries, clothing, children's items, and general merchandise.

Gift cards that are collected will be distributed by the Health and Human Services staff, and both the donor and the recipient family will remain anonymous to each other.
