Several District 207 Students Selected for Illinois Music Education Conference All-State Festival

Twelve students from Maine Township High School District 207 were among a small group of students across the state selected by competitive audition to perform in the Illinois Music Education Conference All-State Festival.

The students were selected by competitive audition to be in the top two ensembles in the State, distinguishing them as some of the best high school musicians in the State of Illinois.

Maine East invitees are: Fernanda Barreto (Future Music Educator), Daniel Cho (All-State Chorus) and Natalie Dababneh (Honors Chorus).

Maine South invitees are: Nicolette Mayer (All-State Chorus), Benjamin McCarrick (Honors Vocal Jazz), Maren Nazar (All-State Chorus), Tim Nelson (Orchestra). Maeve O'Hara (All-State Orchestra), Taylor Truckenbrod (All-State Chorus) and Timothy Wilcox (Honors Vocal Jazz).

Maine West invitees are: Dulf Vincent Genis (Honors Choir) and Ali Krieger (Future Music Educators)

All of these students, along with their directors, will travel to Peoria to attend the IMEC Conference from January 26-29, 2022.
