Ralph Covert returns to Hey Nonny accompanied by string section

Chicago favorite Ralph Covert will play a special show at Hey Nonny in Arlington Heights backed by a string section on Oct.14. Covert has a storied history as a writer and performer dating back to the 1990s.

This special night will feature Covert performing material from his early solo records, classics from The Bad Examples catalogue, songs from his Ralph's World music for young people, and he will debut some new material as well.

"We're pleased to welcome Ralph Covert back to our intimate venue at Hey Nonny," said owner Chip Brooks. "Having him perform with a string section will be a unique experience perfectly designed for our space."

Covert toured the world with The Bad Examples, displaying their unique power pop style. And the band still draws enthusiastic crowds wherever they perform. Covert's music with Ralph's World was nominated for a Grammy® Award, bringing his style of music to an entirely new generation via recordings, live performances, and TV shows. Covert has also written and performed music for theater productions, including "The Flower Thieves" and "The Hundred Dresses."
