Friendship Village residents enjoy Paint and Sip program

German artist Joseph Beuys said, "Everyone is an artist."

This statement proved to be gloriously true as residents of Friendship Village senior living community in Schaumburg painted beautiful fields of dandelions under the tutelage of Amanda De La Matta and Joshlyn Johnson, lifestyle activity coordinators.

Almost two dozen residents participated in a Paint and Sip program, creating lovely renderings as wine was served.

"We love giving our residents the opportunity to try new things, pursue long-time favorite hobbies, and everything in between," said Jill Steco, director of lifestyles. "The finished paintings were really beautiful, and the residents enjoyed themselves tremendously!"
