Arlington Heights business can shred your documents

From 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 15, Bradish will host its annual free Document Shredding Day.

This drive-through shredding event will take place in the Bradish parking lot, 215 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. Drivers should line up on Eastman Avenue, facing west (toward Arlington Heights Road). Cars will enter the parking lot from Eastman Avenue.

"Everyone is welcome for this socially distanced opportunity to safely and securely dispose of your most sensitive documents," said Jordan Bradish, vice president at Bradish. "You won't even need to get out of your car. Just drive in, pop open your trunk, and we will take care of the rest."

Identity theft continues to be a major source of fraud. According to the Federal Trade Commission, Illinois residents filed more than 135,000 identity theft reports in 2020. Bradish offers its free Document Shredding Day as a community service.

"Document shredding is one important strategy to reduce the likelihood of becoming a victim of identity theft," said Jordan Bradish.

"This event is a very practical way to give back to the community. We want to help people protect themselves and, at the same time, help the environment."

To make this event even more environmentally friendly, participants are asked to consider placing their documents in a paper bag or even a paper lawn-refuse bag to eliminate the use of plastic bags.

Bradish is a family-owned, independent insurance agency. Established in 1990, its ongoing mission is finding the best insurance policies to meet the unique needs of each client, whether a business, nonprofit, individual or a family.
