The Bridge's annual black tie gala goes virtual April 17

The Bridge Youth & Family Services will celebrate more than 55 years of helping children, teens, and families in the community. The annual Gala Benefit will be held online Saturday, April 17. To join, visit BridgeGala.givesmart.com.

This event will be a night filled with special recognitions and opportunities to learn more about The Bridge's programs and services. Through the generous support of businesses and members of the community, The Bridge, based in Palatine, is able to provide essential therapies and programs to help young people and their families achieve mental, social, and emotional health through counseling, crisis intervention, youth mentoring and parent education.

Starting at 7 p.m., virtual guests will have the opportunity to learn about The Bridge, its clients and mission and bid on silent auction items. There will be performances by charitable rock band Liquidated Damages, a nonprofit band made up of business professionals in the construction industry.

"This continues to be a challenging time for everyone, especially nonprofit organizations that rely on the generosity of business and community members in order to continue to provide essential services to kids and their families," said Jakub Amrogowicz, private banker at BMO Private Bank and member of the board of The Bridge Youth and Family Services.

"On behalf of BMO Harris Bank, I am enthusiastic to support and participate in this virtual gala, and hope the community will come together to support The Bridge."

"Programs at The Bridge help children reach their full potential," said Gregg Stockey, executive director of The Bridge Youth & Family Services. "We invite community members to attend the virtual gala and learn why we are such a vital part of the community and to enjoy an evening in with dinner, music, and silent auction.

"An exciting number of unique items will be auctioned off, including a picnic basket complete with settings for two, food and wine insulators and fleece blanket, as well as fine jewelry and other unique items," Stockey said.

Guests will also have a chance to buy a raffle ticket to win a grand prize of $3,000 from a cash raffle, with a second prize of $1,500 and third prize of $500. Guests who register for dinner will have their choice of entree from a three-course menu delivered to their homes.
