Stop by annual Festival of Chocolate Sunday

Ella's Friends will hold its third annual Festival of Chocolate on Sunday, Feb. 12, to support the Ella Johnson Memorial Public Library in Hampshire. It will be 1 to 3 p.m. at the Hampshire Township Building, 170 Mill Ave. Attendees can sample delicious chocolate creations crafted by local community members.

Admission is $5 or $1 for children, age 10 or younger.

Entrants in the contest can attend and sample for free. Each entrant must supply 50 one-inch pieces. Cookies can be made bite size or regular cookies can be cut into fourths. Cupcakes should be mini cupcakes or regular cupcakes cut into fourths.

There will be prizes awarded in five categories: brownies/bars, cookies, cakes/cupcakes, candy and gluten-free.

A panel of judges will select the 3 top entries in each category. There is also a People's Choice Award. Awards will be presented at 2:30 p.m.

Entry forms for those who wish to share their creations are available at the library or at the "Friends" tab on the library's website at www.ellajohnsonlibrary.org. Entries accepted for judging from noon till 12:30 p.m.
