Yesoe Yoon honored with President's Call to Service Volunteer Award

Yesoe Yoon was honored by Asian Chronicle USA TV Channel Program with the Asian American Humanitarian Award 2016 along with others several Asian community members. The award ceremony took place on November 20, 2016 at a dinner banquet at Sheraton Four Points Hotel, in Schiller Park, Illinois, where more than 200 guests mostly Asian Americans of Chicago & its Suburbs attended the event. Some of the guest came from far suburban areas. The program included musical entertainment and other entertainment like dance. Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White was the chief guest.

Since last fifteen years in the month of November The Asian Humanitarian Award is given annually by the Asian Chronicle TV channel to individuals and families which are cohesive and positive role models for others to emulate, extend numerous civic and community services here and/or in their native countries, and they impact the positive image of Asians in America. Asian Chronicle TV channel is a very famous and popular Asian TV Channel in Chicagoland area.

Asian Chronicle USA is a television program on public access cable broadcast in many suburban communities of Chicagoland area.

The awards were distributed by the Jesse White Illinois Secretary of State. Korean consul general Hong Jong Kook Lee and Cook County State's Attorney Anita Alvarez also received distinguished award on the event.

Yesoe Yoon was honored by Asian Exemplary Civic Service Award 2016 for best contribution in South & North Korean community. She also received President's Call to Service Award in Gold Category 2015. She help North Korean refugees in America transition to the new society and life through provide New life-skills training, Latest job training according to the American job market, and technical education programs and English Language Program and others programs. Yesoe Yoon currently working as an outreach director of Emancipate North Koreans (ENoK).She is currently a member of Jesse White Secretary of State, Asian-American Advisory Council. She also is the founder of the Yesoe Yoon foundation to help & support talented children in Music. Her foundation was raising funds for helping children with music scholarships.

In an interview with Local reporter after Yesoe Yoon received the award she said. "It's an honor and privilege to serve Asian American community. I am always looking for ways to serve our Asian American community and other American community and help improve them. I will continue taking this challenging, exciting, collaborative, and positive Job to help everyone.
