Two charged in Glendale Heights armed robbery

A St. Charles man and a Lombard man are being held in connection with a Thursday armed robbery in Glendale Heights, authorities said Friday.

Timothy Walls, 22, of St. Charles, and Sayvon Jones, 23, of Lombard, are each charged with armed robbery with a firearm and are being held on $100,000 bail.

Police said the victim was walking about 6 p.m. on the 500 block of Sidney Avenue when Walls and Jones approached him and began talking.

One of the men then pulled a gun and pointed it at the victim, demanding money and his cellphone. The victim complied and the suspects fled.

Glendale Heights police found the two men and apprehended them after a foot chase.
