ChildServ announces Mattress Firm Donation to Group Homes Program

ChildServ, one of Chicago's oldest non-profits helping children heal from trauma, announces the donation of 18 Dream Bed mattresses and Allerzip mattress covers from the bedding store chain, Mattress Firm. The mattresses and covers, given as part of the Mattress Firm's Foster Kids Program, were delivered to ChildServ's group homes in Downers Grove, Lisle and Naperville, which provide a safe living environment for youth ages 12-19.

"We are grateful for Mattress Firm's generosity and support of the young adults in our group homes, who will sleep comfortably because they are getting the care they deserve," said Dan Kotowski, President and CEO of ChildServ. "We appreciate and value Mattress Firm's partnership and their work to help foster children reach their potential."

Mattress Firm launched its Mattress Firm Foster Kids Program, a recognized 501(c)3 non-profit, in December 2015 to make a positive impact on the lives of thousands of foster children in need. The program provides both in-kind and monetary gifts to non-profit foster care organizations.

Since 1894, ChildServ has helped at-risk children and their families build, achieve and sustain better lives. The social service agency provides community-based programs, including foster care and adoption services, counseling, residential group homes, community support and early childhood education, to vulnerable children and families in Cook, DuPage, Kane and Lake counties.
