Glendale Heights man accused of having child pornography
A Glendale Heights man is free on bail after being charged with possession of child pornography.
Andrew P. Clarke, 27, of the 100 block of Golfview Drive, was arrested early Tuesday, several hours after a $200,000 arrest warrant was issued.
Glendale Heights police investigators were led to Clarke through a child pornography investigation initiated by the Elmhurst Police Department. Evidence developed in that investigation was subsequently turned over to Glendale Heights Police investigators, who obtained authorization for a search warrant for Clarke's residence.
The search warrant was executed May 15, 2015, and investigators seized computer equipment from Clarke's residence that was found to contain a computerized file depicting child pornography. Additional computer forensics were completed by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task force.
Clarke's first court date is scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, in Wheaton.
