Global weakling is now our role

While detained in prison camps in Vietnam and during World War II, brave American servicemen gave, at the risk of grave personal harm or torture, only their name, rank and serial number as they had been instructed to do.

Yet today, at the first hint of a problem our servicemen are offering up apologies and praising their captors for kind and humane treatment.

What has become of the American backbone? In the past seven years we have seen our country go from world superpower to global weakling.

National pride is not something I'm feeling right now.
