Do you know a hometown hero?

Military personnel serving overseas or in the U.S. from any of the Round Lake-area communities, Hainesville, Fox Lake, Ingleside or surrounding area qualify for the Round Lake Area Exchange Club's Hometown Heroes award. Anyone with a neighbor, family member, friend, employee, employer, or others serving in the military can register them at www.rlaexchange.org/hero. The Exchange Club meets at 7:30 a.m. the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at Round Lake School District ESC building, 884 W. Nippersink Road, Round Lake. Winners receive a "Hanging with Heroes" care package with snacks and treats, a personalized T-shirt, letters, cards and good wishes from local schoolchildren and a certificate of appreciation.
