Countryside Fire Open House & Pancake Breakfast

The annual Countryside Fire Open House & Pancake Breakfast will take place from 8 a.m.-noon on Sunday, Oct. 4, at Station 2, 600 N. Deerpath Drive, Vernon Hills.

Families can check out the fire engines and trucks up close and personal. The Lake County Fire Chief's Smoke Trailer will be allowing families to learn hands on how to prevent fires and escape in smoke conditions. An inflatable crawl through fire truck will allow small children to have fun as well. Learn about the local Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and all the various emergency response that Countryside Fire District is involved with.

The Firefighter's Association will be providing an all you can eat pancake breakfast, $15 per family or $5 a person. For more information visit www.countrysidefire.com.
