NAILBA Charitable Foundation awards $20,000 grant to Cancer Kiss My Cooley
Cancer kiss my cooley™ (CKMC), a Huntley, Ill.-based nonprofit organization dedicated to raising community awareness for pediatric brain tumors, has received a $20,000 grant from the NAILBA Charitable Foundation, sponsored by LTCI Partners LLC of Lake Forest, Ill. The grant supports CKMC's KISS of HOPE™ program, which provides medical bill assistance and tailor-made, special experiences for children suffering from brain tumors. The foundation is the charitable arm of the National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies.
"We are honored and extremely grateful to receive this grant and use it to help local children who are fighting brain cancer," said Michelle Domino, vice president of CKMC. "Through our Kiss of HOPE program, we are able to create special moments and lasting memories for families. We would not be able to do this important work without the support of organizations such as NAILBA and LTCI Partners."
About cancer kiss my cooley (CKMC): Founded in 2011, cancer kiss my cooley is a Huntley, Ill.-based 501(c)3 charitable organization dedicated to raising community awareness toward pediatric brain tumors. CKMC grants Kisses of HOPE, which are special moments or experiences tailor made for the patient and their family. They receive Kiss of HOPE referrals aged 0-18 years through partnerships with the brain tumor program at Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago and JourneyCare, a Barrington, Ill.-based community agency that provides hospice and palliative care services to children facing serious or life-limiting illnesses.
