Christopher Steele Foundation Makes Donation to Northwestern Memorial Foundation

On May 7, 2014, Kevin Zakrzewski and Ian Weissman of the Christopher Steele Foundation (CSF) met with David Sack of the Northwestern Memorial Foundation and Dr. Mark Agulnik, Assistant Professor of Medicine and Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation. Kevin, CSF President, and Ian, CSF Past President, proudly presented them with a $30,000 donation to support the soft-tissue sarcoma cancer research of Dr. Agulnik. This year's donation brings the CSF's total donation to date to over $100,000. The CSF thanks everyone who participated in a CSF event or supported the CSF in any way for helping make this possible.

After Christopher Steele, a Long Grove resident, passed away in April 2006 from an inoperable brain tumor, a few friends decided to get together and play a round of golf in his memory. That foursome grew to 120 golfers and the Christopher Steele Foundation was born. Eight years later the Foundation is still going strong and dedicated to our missions. The Foundation is based in Buffalo Grove and is a recognized 501(c)(3) charity. All of the Foundation's volunteers work without compensation.
