Discover local Schaumburg parks on a day dedicated to outdoor play.
Schaumburg Park District will take part in National Kids to Parks Day on May 18. National Kids to Parks Day is a nationwide day of outdoor play organized by the National Park Trust. The event encourages children across the country to explore neighborhood parks.
The District encourages families to take a spring stroll around Volkening Lake, 900 W. Schaumburg Road. Families can enjoy the fresh air and scenic beauty including the lake, flowerbeds, Tribute Park and picnic area. The spot is great for bird-watching, basking in nature and exercising.
