Former Lake in the Hills man sentenced to 25 years for child sex assault
A former Lake in the Hills man who was found guilty of sexual assault and abuse of a child has been sentenced to 25 years in prison, according to a news release from the McHenry County state’s attorney’s office.
Robert Lucht, 56, was charged with three counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
The news release says Lake in the Hills police began investigating after the victim, then 11, was admitted to a hospital for harming herself and suicidal intentions. She told police she was repeatedly sexually assaulted by Lucht when she was between the ages of 7 and 9.
Lucht gave a written confession to police when confronted with the allegations, authorities said.
