Patti Stern of Moreland Hills, OH, shows the work of her husband, Bob, to Gayle David, left, of West Dundee and Mac Chaney of Huntley at the Geneva Arts Fair on Third Street on Saturday, July 28. Bob’s artwork is a type called “upcycling.” Upcycling is taking items of value and recycling them into artwork for a high value than what they were originally worth. All the pieces he uses are between 100 and 150 years old. Patti’s artwork, also shown in the booth, are dried floral arrangements in old lead glass windows or decorative doors. They’ve been making art for 20 years and do 45 shows a year around the country. Laura Stoecker/lstoecker@dailyherald.com
