Scandinavian children's group at Cary church

The Scandinavian children's group Forgat Mig Ej is starting its spring season and looking for new members.

The club, which celebrates the Scandinavian heritage through song, dance, crafts and food, meets once a month on Sundays at Cary United Methodist Church, 500 N. First St.

Members range in age from 5 to 18. The goal of the group is to have some fun, while also learning about the Scandinavian culture. The group participates each year in the St. Lucia celebration at Christmas and perform at a handful of community events each year.

They are currently trying to grow their membership, and teach the next generation about their heritage. For details, e-mail mchenryswedes@comcast.net.
