Learn life-saving skills for youth at 'Safety Town' with Northbrook Park DistrictMay 4, 2022 9:18 AM - The Northbrook Park District's popular "Safety Town" program is back for another year of teaching children ages 4-6 skills and knowledge that could one day save their lives or help others around them. Sessions are offered in the morning or the afternoon and instruction includes the importance of safety in everyday situations through songs, games and fun activities with this nationally recognized program. Children travel within miniature city streets to learn about traffic safety, street crossing and bicycle safety. Students need to bring a helmet daily. Other topics include fire safety including a visit from the Northbrook Fire Department, pool safety, stranger danger, the use of 911 and identification of poisons.
